The Trofeo Princesa sailing program celebrated their 50th anniversary this year. It is considered an elite category for Olympic sailing which makes it an important international sailing event. This year it was held from 29th March to 6th April. Held in Majorcan waters, this event was jointly organized by Club Maritimo San Antonio de la Playa, Nautic S’Arenal, Real Club Nautico de Palma, Spanish and Balearic federations.

This is considered one of the important Olympic class regattas. As a result, every year there is a high level of participation seen here across several countries. On average, there are thousand sailors that participate from 50 or 60 nations. They come to Mallorca to take part in this preferred regatta. The organizing team, infrastructure, and quality of the organization, as well as weather conditions in the Palma Bay, are ensured of optimal standards for such a world competition event to take place.
